What is the Ladies Auxiliary?
The Three Bridges Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary was organized over 80 years ago to help serve the fire company and raise funds for new equipment.
One of the many roles of the Ladies Auxiliary is providing food and drinks to our firefighters when there is a large fire; it is our job to keep them going for the many hours it takes to put these large fires out. We also assist our firefighters by holding many fundraisers throughout the year, including our Bag and Basket Bingo, Roast Beef Dinner, and Ham & Turkey Dinner.
The Ladies Auxiliary is very involved in our community. We like to hold events to get to know our neighbors, to remind our community that we are here to serve them, and to get our community members involved with each other. For example, we hand-sewed and distributed masks to our community during the height of the coronavirus, free of charge. We also held a fundraiser around this time where we donated sandwiches to our fellow first responders and local frontline workers to show our appreciation for their hard work during the pandemic. We also assist with the planning and execution of TBVFC's Annual 5 Mile Run, which typically brings hundreds of community members together each August.
What Do I Have To Do?
Members of the Ladies Auxiliary are required to attend a reasonable number of meetings and events each year. Members are invited to run a committee for an event that they would like to hold.

Aside from being a part of a tight-knit group of women who help not only our firefighters, but also our community, each and every day, some of the many benefits that members of the Ladies Auxiliary enjoy include: discounted rental of the banquet hall; an invitation to the Annual Fire Company Picnic; an invitation to the Annual Installation Banquet; and an invitation to the Ladies Auxiliary Annual Holiday Dinner.
When are the meetings?
The Ladies Auxiliary meets the third Wednesday of every month (excluding July and December) in the banquet hall of the Three Bridges Volunteer Fire Company Station #1, located at 467 Main Street in Three Bridges. Meetings start promptly at 7:30 PM.
How Can I Become A Member?
There are a couple of different ways that you can become a member. All members must be sixteen (16) years of age or older. Members do not have to be related to a firefighter in order to join. Active Membership:
Active members are considered full members of the Ladies Auxiliary. Active membership requirements include attendance at 50% of meetings and 50% of events for the calendar year. Active members are entitled to hold an executive position, vote in TBVFC elections, enjoy a discounted rental of the banquet hall and downstairs facilities, access the Annual Fire Company Picnic, and attend the Annual Installation Banquet free of charge for each member and one (1) guest. Dues for this membership are $3 for the entire year.
Associate Membership:
Associate members are invited to attend all meetings and events put on by the Ladies Auxiliary. No dues are required for this position. However, associate members are not entitled to hold an executive position or have a vote. Associate members are also not entitled to discounted rental of the banquet hall and are responsible for the cost of their dinner at the Annual Installation Banquet. Associate members are allowed to attend any and all picnics put on by the fire company.
Life Membership:
Any member of the society who has had 20 years of active service or more is entitled to become a life member. This entitles the member to all of the privileges previously allowed of being an active member. Life members are not required to pay dues to the society.
Active Life Membership:
Any member of the society who qualifies for life membership but chooses to remain an active member of the society is subject to annual dues. Active life members must also abide by the responsibilities of active membership. Active life members are eligible to hold officer positions, provided they have completed two consecutive years of service leading up the the year of the term they wish to serve.
